Alliance New York Municipal Income Fund, Inc. Reports Third Quarter Earnings

NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliance New York Municipal Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE: AYN), a registered closed‑end investment company, today announced earnings for the Fund's third fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2013.

Total net assets of the Fund* on July 31, 2013 were $105,554,790, as compared with $112,943,724 on April 30, 2013 and $113,538,045 on July 31, 2012.  On July 31, 2013, the net asset value per share of common stock was $13.39 based on 4,836,261 shares of common stock outstanding.

For the period May 1, 2013 through July 31, 2013 total net investment income was $747,753 or $0.15 per share of common stock. The total net realized and unrealized loss was ($7,371,822) or ($1.52) per share of common stock for the same period.
