FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines
and the Something mAAgic Foundation are partnering with the Make-A-Wish
Foundation(R) to grant children their fondest wishes with a trip to
Orlando, Fla. Thirty-one courageous wish kids will participate in American
Airlines 13th Annual WishFlight on Friday, Oct. 3.

WishFlight, Something mAAgic's annual marquee event, sends children
with life-threatening medical conditions and their families to Florida for
a seven-day retreat at Give Kids The World Village(R) and various Orlando
 attractions.

Bon voyage festivities will take place in more than 29 airports
throughout the American Airlines network as the wish children depart their
home cities. These events hosted by American Airlines, American Eagle, and
American Airlines Federal Credit Union employee volunteers include
decorations, games, cheering volunteers and cake for all departing
passengers. There are also festivities when the wish kids arrive in Orlando
as the children and their families begin their magical vacation.

"WishFlight is all about hope and fun for everyone involved. The gift
of a child's wish provides immeasurable joy for the entire family," said
Jennifer Proctor, Executive Director of the Something mAAgic Foundation.
"It's an honor to be a part of an organization that replaces hospital
visits and worries with happy times and memories for the whole family."

An added bonus this year will be the presence of Miss America 2008
Kirsten Haglund, who has volunteered to join others to welcome the kids at
the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport terminal parties before
boarding a WishFlight to Orlando and continuing the celebration there. The
following evening, Haglund will join Something mAAgic volunteers and
participate in a Give Kids The World Village party with the kids and their
 families.

During their stay at the Give Kids The World Village, each wish family
will enjoy accommodations in their own villa and meals onsite at the
Gingerbread House Restaurant. The Village's play areas were designed to
delight children of all ages, complete with a wheelchair-accessible
carousel, an Ice Cream Palace, movie theatre, and a wheelchair-accessible
swimming pool located at the American Airlines-sponsored "The Park of
 Dreams."

As part of the foundation's commitment to enhancing the wishes of
children, this year Something mAAgic will present Give Kids The World
Village the final installment of a three-year pledge to build a new villa
to house additional families during their stay. The dedication ceremony of
the new villa will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4.
