American Axle & Manufacturing Awards CH2M HILL for China Project

    DENVER, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- CH2M HILL today announced that it has
 been recognized by American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) as a key supplier
 for the recently completed driveline manufacturing facility in Changsu,
 Jiangsu Province, China. CH2M HILL was the only engineering-construction
 firm to be named by AAM for its key supplier awards.

     "The completion of this project enabled AAM to launch their products
 within 8 months of the initial groundbreaking," said Michael McKelvy,
 president, manufacturing and life sciences. McKelvy noted that the project
 was completed safely, with no lost times incidents or recordable injuries.
     As one of only a handful of non-Chinese-based firms with a general
 contractor license in China, CH2M HILL was the program manager responsible
 for the engineering, procurement and construction of the manufacturing
 facility, encompassing nearly 200,000 square feet for the project's first
 phase.
     AAM has committed about $100 million to its greenfield plant in east
 China, with expectations of generating up to $250 million annual revenues
 by 2010 by supplying both Chinese and other Asian markets.
