CLEVELAND, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Greetings Corporation (NYSE: AM) was selected to produce the official 2009 presidential and vice presidential holiday cards for the Obama administration.

The presidential greeting card artwork is the presidential seal surrounded by a wreath. It is embossed in gold foil on the cover of the card, which has a thin burgundy border. The inside message offers a simple yet meaningful wish, as it reads, "May your family have a joyous holiday season and a new year blessed with hope and happiness."

The vice presidential greeting card features a photo of the Biden family on the front and includes the vice presidential seal on the inside along with a warm message that reads, "Wishing you and your family joy and peace this holiday season."

Being selected to produce these historic cards represents a great distinction for American Greetings. The greeting cards were paid for by the Democratic National Committee, and will be mailed to foreign dignitaries, friends and family.
