American-made Dimmable 60W-incandescent LED Replacement Bulb for $10 Get an American-made, energy-saving, dimmable, designer LED light bulb by September 30, 2013 for only $10

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- For the next few days, NliteN inc. is giving consumers the opportunity to acquire the sleek, high-tech, American-made, dimmable, 2D-Lite™ LED Disk – a 60W-equivalent incandescent replacement bulb, for only $10. With the average price of a dimmable 60W-incandescent-replacement LED bulb sitting at $25, NliteN is providing a very substantial incentive to consumers to switch over to non-toxic, energy-saving, LED lighting technology.

Consumers can learn more about 2D-Lite LED "bulbs" and, until Sept 30, acquire them for $10, here.

This limited-time offer, being made by NliteN via its Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, is intended to generate enough pledges for the patents-pending, flat, 2D-Lite LED Disk to qualify the design as a Philips Innovation Fellows Competition finalist. "NliteN is running this special promotion on Indiegogo for the next few days to help hit a funding target of $125,000 or more by the end of this month," said Andy Turudic, inventor of the 2D-Light LED Disk technology. "All of the perk packages that provide the 2D-Lite LED Disk as a reward for a funding contribution, including the "early bird specials", are significantly lower in cost than a dimmable, name brand but Chinese-made, 800 lumen bulb at the hardware store."

NliteN's original Indiegogo campaign notion of using a crowdfunding premium to develop the next generation of LED Disks for 2015, didn't appear to be of much interest to most of the crowdfunding community, particularly those who see their campaign contributions as gaining access to a 'Sharper Image' style catalog of advanced and novel technology gadgets that can't be bought in stores.

To respond to these prospective supporters, NliteN is eliminating the cost adder, which was intended to fund the second generation disk's R&D, and will be shipping a high quality, LED light bulb that's loaded with advanced technology for $10 to supporters of record as of September 30, 2013. Private investor money will instead be used to fund both the R&D for future products and to set up NliteN's American-based manufacturing facility.

For $10, Indiegogo supporters will get an American-made, high quality, point light source (which will appear to be brighter in a reflector-based fixture than a CFL or most LED bulbs), advanced technology, approximately 800 lumen, >80CRI, 3000K, and dimmable, product for less than what's available at the hardware store or building supply.  LED technology reduces energy use by approximately 80% from that of a 60W incandescent bulb, and is about 70% of the energy usage of a CFL and does not have the mercury neurotoxin that a CFL bulb contains.

NliteN is also taking care of its existing supporters by offering additional perks than those originally offered, as an option to be taken by them at the time everyone's credit card gets billed in November.

The $10 promotion on the 2D-Lite LED Disk 60W replacement LED bulb, and the 2D-Lux™ Smart LED Disk, "smart" bulb, variant (which can be smart phone controlled) for as low as $20, runs from now until 11:59pm EST on September 30, 2013.
