'America's Favorite Architecture' Exhibit Coming to San Antonio
Free admission to public to view exhibit and vote on their favorite
architecture at interactive kiosks; Demos available for public to take
virtual architecture tours on Google Earth
WASHINGTON, April 26 /PRNewswire/ --
WHO: American Institute of Architects (AIA), in commemoration of 150th
anniversary
WHAT: America's Favorite Architecture exhibit will be featured at AIA
annual convention to reveal images of the most iconic buildings,
bridges and memorials in America, as determined by a national poll
conducted in February with Harris Interactive. The debate about
the poll results will continue via an interactive web site,
accessible at kiosks within the exhibit, which will allow visitors
to vote for their favorite architecture.
Architecture will come to life through on-site Google Earth demos
of the new AIA layers - America's Favorite Architecture and
Blueprint for America. Public can view 3D images of iconic
landmarks and view demo video on YouTube,

WHERE: San Antonio Convention Center, AIA150 booth in main exhibit hall
WHY: AIA launched America's Favorite Architecture and Google Earth
partnership as part of AIA150, the yearlong celebration of the
AIA's 150th anniversary. The yearlong celebration is dedicated to
generating dialogue between architects and the public about the
impact of architecture in our daily lives. AIA150 is themed
