Announcing the launch of storycircuit.com, an experience sharing platform Storycircuit.com is celebrating their launch by sponsoring a story writing contest with a chance to win an iPad Air
NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y., Jan. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Storycircuit.com, an experience sharing platform, has just launched and is now welcoming new storytellers. They were founded on the idea that everyone has valuable life experiences which can inform and educate. By using storytelling to communicate those life experiences they are inviting everyone to participate in a tradition as old as human society.
Their story writing process provides authors with tools to quickly add rich meta data to their stories, such as the location, date of the experience, free form tags and any lessons learned. This process of prompting for additional details helps authors to think about their story in greater depth while simultanously helping readers to discover stories of interest. Beyond discovery, the additional meta data also aids readers further by serving to frame the story. Storycircuit.com employs a moderation process to insure that new members understand how to write a story and to protect readers from spam. Once a story has been published, their community can share and respond to the story, providing authors valuable fedback and encouragement.
According to their founder, Frederic Jambukeswaran, he was "inspired by all the knowledge that we carry with us which all to often stays with us. Not because we don't want to share that knowledge but because we don't know how". He concieved of the idea over the summer and has been working to bring it to fruition since.
To help their site get off the ground, they are sponsoring a story writing contest for a chance to win an iPad Air. The contest which runs till the end of January, is accepting the first 200 qualified entries submitted.
