Aon Global CIO Among Panelists To Speak about Data Protection at Executives' Club of Chicago Program

CHICAGO, Oct. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Aon plc's Global Chief Information Officer Steve Betts and a panel of business and technology leaders, including the FBI's Director of Cyber Strategic Partnership, will speak about data protection at an Executives' Club program on October 19^th.

A joint technology and finance committee program, the panel will include Paul Sand , Independent Security Officer, Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago and Tony Buffomante , Principal in KPMG's Advisory Practice, in addition to Aon and the FBI.

Baker and McKenzie Partner Michael Mensik will moderate the discussion of the financial, reputational and regulatory risks and best practices surrounding data protection strategy.

In a major speech on cyber security, President Obama said that an estimated $1 trillion in intellectual property has been lost due to cyber-attacks.

In addition to specific recommendations for internal and external data protection, speakers will share insights, trends and case studies.

The program coincides with National Cyber Security Awareness Month, designated by President Obama to educate the public and private sectors.
