AppDynamics' Focus on 100% Customer Success Results in Exceptional Net Promoter Score
Application Performance Management Company Ranks with Apple, Amazon, and Google
SAN FRANCISCO, June 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AppDynamics, Inc., the leader in application performance management for the cloud generation, today announced that the results from a recent customer loyalty survey resulted in a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70.6, placing AppDynamics in the ranks of customer loyalty leaders such as Apple, Amazon, and Google. An NPS that is positive (higher than zero) is considered "good," while an NPS of more than 50 is considered "excellent."
The Net Promoter Score is an industry-standard metric used to gauge the loyalty of a company's customer relationships by asking a simple question: "On a 0-10 rating scale, where 10 is 'extremely likely' and 0 is 'not at all likely,' how likely is it that you would recommend our company to a friend or colleague?" Based on their responses, customers are categorized into one of three groups: Promoters (9-10 rating), Passives (7-8 rating), and Detractors (0-6 rating). The percentage of Detractors is then subtracted from the percentage of Promoters, resulting in the company's overall NPS.
