Aracely Arambula and Pablo Montero Heat Up the Screen with Hanes
Hanes Features Top Latin Stars in New Advertising Campaign to Promote
Hanes Perfect Panty and Perfect T for Men
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Hanes, the No. 1 apparel
brand in the United States, today announced it will expand its "Look Who We've
Got Our Hanes on Now" campaign with two stylish Latin entertainment
personalities. The beautiful Mexican singer and soap opera actress, Aracely
Arambula, and the charming Mexican ranchera balladeer and actor, Pablo
Montero, will appear in a series of television commercials on Spanish language
television beginning July 19. The campaign, created by Lapiz, will run
through May 2006. Arambula also will appear in a series of print
advertisements in Hispanic entertainment and women's magazines later this
year.
The two join a roster of headline celebrities including Jennifer Love
Hewitt, Michael Jordan, Matthew Perry and Damon Wayans who also star in the
current "Look Who We've Got Our Hanes on Now" campaign.
"We're excited to have two dynamic stars join the Hanes family to show our
Hispanic audience how Hanes can inspire personal style. In the campaign,
Aracely and Pablo's fun personality and incredible sense of style clearly
demonstrate how one can feel stylish and comfortable in Hanes casualwear,"
said Sidney Falken, Hanes Brand Champion.
Montero, who starred with Arambula on the soap opera "Abrazame muy
Fuerte," will appear in two separate TV commercials, one of which will feature
Arambula. One TV spot features both Arambula and Montero sporting Hanes
casualwear in a variety of new, contemporary styles and colors. Their
chemistry during the Mexico shoot helped create a fun, light-hearted
commercial featuring Montero desperately trying to hold onto a mechanical
bull. Arambula mischievously controls the bull which leads to Montero being
thrown off the ride.
The second TV spot is a humorous and playful scene where Montero shows his
strong sense of style by wearing the Hanes Perfect T with a variety of stylish
outfits underscoring the T-shirt's versatility. While singing and dancing in
his bedroom wearing only his Perfect T and underwear, he gets embarrassed when
he notices a woman watching him through the window while she's watering her
garden.
The print ads feature Arambula wearing The Perfect Panty - Hanes
revolutionary new underwear with 360 degree stretch, no ride up and no lines.
She also is featured in items from the versatile and stylish Hanes Authentic
Daywear and Sleepwear Collection, including popular A-shirts and boy shorts in
fun colors. Arambula, who has earned the admiration of the public through
roles such as 'Perla' in the soap opera "Las Vias del Amor," also will strike
a stylish pose in bras and panties from the brand's Body Creations and Pure
Bliss lines.
Hanes is a leading brand of intimate apparel, underwear, sleepwear, socks,
shoes and casual apparel. Hanes is a flagship brand of Sara Lee Branded
Apparel. Sara Lee Branded Apparel is currently a part of Sara Lee
Corporation, which in February 2005 announced a transformation of its business
portfolio to focus on food, beverage and household products. At that time,
Sara Lee announced its intent to spin off as an independent, publicly held
company its Americas/Asia apparel business, Sara Lee Branded Apparel, a move
that is expected to be completed by September 2006.
