OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Arcadian Health announced today that John Wells has joined the leadership team as Chief Performance Officer, effective immediately. In this new role, Mr. Wells will be responsible for leading Arcadian's compliance efforts across the company.

As Arcadian Health brings affordable, high-quality health care to its members, Mr. Wells plans to ensure the company is meeting or exceeding CMS expectations from a regulatory, compliance and performance standpoint across the company. He will be working closely with the executive team to provide leadership in the development and measurement of an organization-wide approach to performance improvement as it relates to regulatory compliance.
Mr. Wells has over 20 years of broad based experience in regulatory compliance. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Strategic Compliance Solutions with Gorman Health Group where he was responsible for services relevant to the regulatory and compliance needs of Medicare health plans.
Prior to his experience at Gorman, Mr. Wells was Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs for Bravo Health and held leadership roles at various companies including: The TriZetto Group, ConnectiCare, Prudential HealthCare, PCS, Tufts Health Plan and Pilgrim Health Care.
