Ariel Corporation Appoints Dennis Schneider As President and Chief Executive Officer
CRANBURY, N.J., May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Ariel Corp. (Nasdaq: ADSP) today
announced that its board of directors has appointed Dennis I. Schneider as
chief executive officer and president, effective May 31, 2000. Mr. Schneider
has served as Ariel's senior vice president of worldwide marketing since
joining the company in December of 1998.

efforts in our focus on the ISP market and establishing Ariel as a
best-in-class provider of convergence-ready, network, access products for

marketing consulting engagements with IBM, Lucent Technologies, Andersen
Consulting and many others. Mr. Schneider is also a director of GIOS(TM)
Incorporated, a consulting firm specializing in software development process
improvement.
Mr. Schneider succeeds Jay H. Atlas, who has stepped down for personal
reasons. Mr. Atlas will be available to assist in the transition and will
stay on as a director of the Company.
