Art Van Furniture and Yatooma Foundation: Extreme Christmas Makeover

WARREN, Mich., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- It will be a new home for the holidays for three struggling Metro Detroit families experiencing the loss of a parent, but due to the generosity of Art Van Furniture Christmas will be brighter than expected this year. Gifts were given to the families, but not all were wrapped in pretty paper. Brand new furniture and a years worth of groceries, rent and utilities were also presented.

"The holidays are supposed to be about joy," said Art Van Elslander, Chairman and Founder of Art Van Furniture. "If I can put a smile on their faces, it warms my heart."

The Extreme Christmas Makeover is organized by Yatooma's Foundation For The Kids whose main mission is to assist children that have lost a parent. Art Van Furniture is matching donations to the foundation up to $25,000.
