Ask Mr Credit Card Presents Study of Online Shopping Portals Offered by Card Issuers
WAYNE, Pa., Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The research team from www.askmrcreditcard.com has just completed a study on online shopping portals that are offered by credit card issuers . The purpose of the study was to find out how many merchant partners on average does each shopping portal have, the range of rebates that they give consumers and also how do the shopping portals rank among each other.
According to Brooke Kaelin, Editor of www.askmrcreditcard.com, "Online shopping portals provide consumers with another way of earning more reward points and cash rebates. We found out that over 900 merchants have participated in these portals and consumers should be taking full advantage of them. One of the key reasons that we did the study was because not all online shopping portals display all their merchant partners to consumers. We felt there was a need to investigate this to give consumers more information when they are researching credit cards. The findings of our study will be incorporated into the reviews of cards which offer these online shopping portals to cardholders."
The shopping portals that were included in the study were:
ShopDiscover from Discover
Bonus Cash Center from Citi
Ultimate Rewards Mall from Chase
Add It Up from Bank of America
Perks Central from Capital One
