Atalasoft Announces Vizit SP 2.0 Document Viewer for SharePoint with New Visual Search

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- At the Microsoft SharePoint Conference, Atalasoft, Inc. announced the second generation of Vizit SP, the Document Viewer for SharePoint. New search capabilities take Vizit SP well beyond document imaging and viewing. By integrating fast document previewing in indexed and column-based search results, documents stored in SharePoint can be found faster, dramatically improving information worker productivity.

Additional new capabilities include web-based scanning and page-manipulation, side-by-side document reviewing, support for more than 200 additional formats with a new rendition server, as well as various performance and feature improvements. These new features add to a robust set of existing capabilities that improve how users view, markup, index, compare, search, print, collaborate, and scan documents and images inside of SharePoint.

"Vizit SP 2.0 with SharePoint brings us much closer to our vision in making ECM affordable and pervasive across the entire enterprise," said William Bither, Founder and CEO of Atalasoft. "Our customers, particularly in the healthcare and financial service industries, are using Vizit SP to reduce their claims processing costs, index their unstructured documents, and reduce the time and bandwidth required to find and view existing documents."

Vizit SP works seamlessly with production capture applications from partner vendors such as Eastman Kodak and PSIGEN to add high-volume capture for automatic indexing and classification to Vizit SP's zero-footprint indexing, search, retrieval, editing, viewing, and simple scanning. With Vizit SP, legacy ECM systems can be replaced with a more cost effective ECM solution built on the SharePoint platform.

Vizit SP 2.0 beta is available for public download. Vizit SP 1.6 is available for purchase through Atalasoft's network of System Integrators and Resellers, or direct from Atalasoft starting at $4,625 for a 25-user license.
