NEW YORK, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Judith Curr, Executive Vice President
and Publisher, announced today that Atria Books will publish a golf and
business memoir by legendary sportsman and entrepreneur Greg Norman, to be
released in fall 2006. Atria acquired worldwide rights to Norman's book, to
be edited by Senior Editor Peter Borland. Donald T. Phillips, co-author of
Leading with the Heart by Mike Krzyzewski and On the Brink by Norman Brinker,
among others, will collaborate.
Greg Norman, a native of Australia and one of the world's greatest
sportsmen and business leaders, will detail his extraordinary development as a
golfer, and reveal how the lessons he learned on the golf course have led him
to achieve fantastic success far from the fairway. Using his trademark charm
and eloquence, Norman's book will be an honest look at his long and arduous
path to success and serve as an inspiration to athletes and businesspeople
around the world.
Greg Norman says, "This is something I have been looking forward to for a
number of years, and I am delighted to be working with Atria, a talented group
that understands and shares my passion and commitment for this project."
Judith Curr adds, "I have always admired Greg Norman's spectacular abilities
as a true pioneer in professional golf and in the business world. This
project is a dream for me to acquire and publish."
Mr. Norman's memoir will be published in the UK by Ebury and in Australia
and New Zealand by RH Australia. Publishing Director, Jill Baker says, "This
will undoubtedly be the biggest publishing event of 2006." Worldwide English
language publication is scheduled for fall 2006.
