AVG Technologies N.V. Appoints PwC as New External Auditor

AMSTERDAM, Aug. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVG Technologies N.V. (NYSE: AVG), the provider of Internet and mobile security, privacy and optimization solutions to 155 million active users, today announced that its shareholders have approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants N.V. ("PwC") as its statutory external auditor for the three years ending December 31, 2013, 2014 and 2015 respectively.

PwC was appointed following a tender process conducted by AVG's Audit Committee and replaces the previous auditor, BDO Accountants N.V., whose appointment expired in June.
