Bahrain's National Dialogue Draws Support from Turkish President
MANAMA, Bahrain, Sept. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a meeting with His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Turkish President Abdullah Gul voiced his country's support for Bahrain's National Dialogue and His Majesty's decision to establish the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.
Visiting Turkey at the invitation of President Gul, His Majesty King Hamad discussed the implementation of National Dialogue reforms and their place within the country's overall reform program begun ten years ago. His Majesty went on to discuss the latest status of Bahrain's nongovernmental fact-finding commission into alleged abuses earlier in the year.
President Gul recognized that Bahrain's efforts would help lead to peace and stability in the Middle East and expressed a desire for further cooperation between the countries.
