WILMINGTON, Del., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Kevin M. Sullivan has been
named Managing Director, Communications for Barclaycard US, the credit card
business of Barclays PLC in the United States.
In this newly created role, Mr. Sullivan will oversee media relations
and employee communications, working in concert with the Barclaycard Global
Communications team in the U.K. He will also serve on the Barclaycard US
Mr. Sullivan maintains 20 years of experience in the payments industry.
He most recently served as Senior Director-Strategic Alliances at
Barclaycard US, where he worked to create new co-branded credit card
programs with financial institutions such as banks and brokerages.
Prior to joining Barclaycard US in 2005, Mr. Sullivan spent eight years
at JPMorgan Chase in a variety of senior relationship, sales and marketing
roles in the Card Services unit. Prior to that, he helped to build new
categories of credit card acceptance in the U.S. Merchant group of
MasterCard International in New York. From 1989 through 1992, he worked in
travelers cheque marketing at American Express in New York.
Mr. Sullivan began his career in communications at an advertising
agency in Hilton Head Island, S.C. and later worked at Doremus Porter
Novelli, an investor relations firm in New York.
