Barclays Capital Expands US Leveraged Finance Team
Six New Hires Establish West Coast Financial Sponsors Group
NEW YORK, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, today announced six appointments to the firm's US Leveraged Finance business. The six new hires will significantly expand Barclays Capital's Financial Sponsor capabilities, especially on the West Coast, where they will be part of the firm's growing Los Angeles operations. The six appointments announced today are: Ted Iantuono, who joins Barclays Capital in Los Angeles as a Managing Director and Co-Head of US Financial Sponsor Coverage. Mr. Iantuono will report to Messrs. Van Zijl and McGrath and work closely with fellow Co-Head of US Financial Sponsor Coverage, Peter Glaser, a Managing Director based in New York. Mr. Iantuono joins the firm from Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division, where he was, most recently, a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Los Angeles office. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. The other five appointees will report to Mr. Iantuono. Jon Bunce, who joins the firm as a Director. Mr. Bunce joins from Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division where he was, most recently, a Director in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Bunce received his MBA and JD from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School, respectively. Darrick Geant, who joins the firm as an Associate Director. Mr. Geant joins from Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division where he was, most recently, a Vice President in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Geant received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Elaine Kao, who joins the firm as an Associate. Ms. Kao joins from Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division where she was, most recently, an Associate in the Los Angeles office. Ms. Kao received her MBA from Wharton. James Meehan, who joins the firm as an Associate. Mr. Meehan joins from Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division where he was, most recently, an Associate in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Meehan received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Brian Rapf, who joins the firm as an Analyst. Mr. Rapf joins from Credit Suisse's Investment Banking Division where he was, most recently, an Analyst in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Rapf received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
