Bare Necessities Appoints Two New E-Commerce Directors: Lingerie E-Tailer Creates Two Top Posts to Drive Continued Growth
NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Lingerie retailer Bare Necessities,
whose Web site, barenecessities.com, is among the nation's Top-300 Internet
retail sites according to Internet Retailer magazine, announced today that it
has appointed two industry veterans to newly created, director-level E-
commerce positions.
Bare Necessities hired Keira Lim as its new director of online customer
acquisition and appointed Gretchen Wahl as its new director of online
merchandising. Lim and Wahl will work alongside David Wauters, Bare
Necessities' marketing director since 2004. All three of these senior
executives will report to VP of Business Development and Marketing Dan
Sackrowitz.
Based in Newark, N.J., the privately held Bare Necessities has enjoyed
consistent 60 percent annualized growth since 1998, and CEO Noah Wrubel
believes that creating two additional E-commerce director positions is key to
sustaining this level of growth.

Lim joins Bare Necessities from Linkshare, where she managed accounts such
as iTunes and Macy's for the online affiliate marketing company.
Prior to joining Linkshare, Lim was the director of E-commerce at Hanover
Direct, where she was responsible for all Internet marketing initiatives for
The Company Store and Domestications. At Bare Necessities, Lim will manage and
drive all customer acquisition and online partnership programs, including
Amazon.com, Google, Yahoo!, portal relationships and new online customer
acquisition models.
Wahl, who has been a senior manager at Bare Necessities since 2003,
previously worked at Spree.com (now Allegiance Marketing Resources), a Web
site that creates and manages online rewards programs. In her new role, she
will oversee the management and presentation of all products and brands on
http://www.barenecessities.com and partner sites. The Bare Necessities product
assortment includes more than 3,000 styles of bras, panties, shapewear,
sleepwear, hosiery and men's underwear, from more than 120 brands.
Founded in 1967, Bare Necessities owns and operates four lingerie retail
stores in the Northeast, and a direct-to-consumer lingerie Web site,
http://www.barenecessities.com. On its Web site, Bare Necessities sells brands
such as Bali, Calvin Klein, La Perla, Cosabella, Nautica, Hugo Boss and many
others. Bare Necessities launched its website in 1998, and is now the 60th
largest apparel retail Web site, according to Internet Retailer magazine.
