TOWSON, Md., Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BatteryDAQ, provider of battery monitoring solutions to clients worldwide, announced today it has received Underwriter Laboratories (UL) certification for its Sentry battery monitoring products. The BatteryDAQ Sentry series joins a very limited group of UL-certified monitoring products.

Tom Shannon, Director of Business Development, explained why the company chose to pursue UL certification. "Though the certification process was rigorous, costly, and time-consuming, the benefits are well worth it: Peace of mind for our customers, a comprehensive, independent review of our design, processes, and standards, and public affirmation of the quality of our American-made Sentry products."

"The UL certification further distinguishes our product in the marketplace. And coupled with our MyBattery web platform, the Sentry enables customers to easily and cost-effectively manage any number of sites, from one to one million. Using the latest in cloud-based computing and user-friendly web access, users can view, sort, trend, and analyze installations in a number of ways. More important, the information provided can be used to reduce operating costs by making smarter decisions related to battery maintenance and replacement, truck rolls, and staffing."
