BayCare Receives Transformational Leadership Award from CHIME and American Hospital Association
CLEARWATER, Fla., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- BayCare Health System was presented the 2009 Transformational Leadership Award from CHIME (The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives) and the American Hospital Association. BayCare was honored for BEACON, its seven-year project to implement an electronic medical record. The award was presented to Lindsey Jarrell, senior vice president and CIO, and Stephen Mason, president and CEO of BayCare.
BayCare is half-way through a system-wide implementation of its electronic medical record that is transforming the way the entire system delivers and administers health care. So far, the initiative has resulted in qualitative and quantitative results through the system-wide execution of standardized work processes, organizational change management, communication, training, governance, leadership, and clinical software.
