WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- WSFS Financial Corporation
announces the hiring of M. Scott Baylis as vice president of Business Banking
and Middle Market Lending at Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB (WSFS). "My
main goal at WSFS is to establish a new loan portfolio for which I will serve
as the relationship manager," says Baylis.
With over 15 years' experience in the banking industry, Baylis was most
recently vice president in the Corporate Banking department at PNC Bank. He
also worked in the Community Business and Commercial Lending divisions at the
Wilmington Trust Company.
Baylis is confident of his ability to attract new small business customers
to WSFS. "I plan to increase the exposure of the small business products and
services available at WSFS to both prospects and referral sources," says
Baylis. Working jointly with other departments to increase cross selling
successes, Baylis wants to expand the range of investment and loan products
available to WSFS clients and prospects.
To bring more value to customers, Baylis will also explore mutually
beneficial business partnerships with outside vendors to offer other
recognized, proven financial products alongside WSFS' own. "In addition to
enabling WSFS to compete for all types of clients, these partnerships will
allow us to offer the product sets of a large financial institution while
maintaining all the advantages of community banking for our business
customers," explains Baylis.
Baylis received a BS in economics from the University of Delaware and an
MBA in business administration from Wilmington College. A member of the
Delaware Contractors Association, Baylis is active in the community through
involvement in the Better Business Bureau and the Make-A-Wish Foundation
