BCL Inc. Names Steven Bollert Principal And Chief Investment Officer

SAN DIEGO, May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BCL Inc., a San Diego-based, full-service commercial real estate firm, announces that Steve Bollert has joined the company as principal and chief investment officer.  Bollert brings more than two decades of specialized real estate experience to his position with BCL, where he will oversee acquisition and investment activity throughout the Pacific Southwest.

Bollert most recently was affiliated with Westcore Properties as a principal of the company and its southwest director of acquisitions. While there, he focused on buying value-add properties and increased the company's portfolio from 7 million square feet to more than 9.5 million square feet.  The properties acquired by Bollert were stabilized or repositioned and then sold, achieving a cumulative return of greater than 50% IRR. 

For 16 years, Bollert was a top revenue producer with Burnham Real Estate Services where he generated record sales and leasing volume totaling over $2 billion of institutional grade office, industrial and R&D properties.  He also founded and directed the company's Life Science Division.

Bollert is a sought-after real estate panelist and speaker and has served on a number of advisory boards including NAIOP, San Diego State School of Real Estate, BIOCOM and UCSD Connect.  He is a graduate of San Diego State University and lives in Rancho Santa Fe with his wife and children.
