MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beach First National
Bank (OTC Bulletin Board: BFNB) today announced that it will open a new
office, the bank's fourth, on Hilton Head Island in February. The office will
be located in Pineland Station Office Center, at the intersection of Mathews
Drive and William Hilton Parkway. Paul Walter, a Hilton Head banking veteran,
has been named vice president and regional executive.
Walt Standish, Beach First National president and chief executive officer,
said, "We are pleased to make Hilton Head Island our first location outside
the Grand Strand. We were able to find an excellent local management team and
a centrally located, newly remodeled office. Local management and local
decision making have always been at the heart of Beach First National's
banking philosophy. Now we will bring that brand of community banking to
Hilton Head area residents and small businesses.

directors and expect to make an announcement about its membership in a few

Several staff members have been hired in anticipation of the new office's
opening. Paul Walter will serve as regional executive for the Hilton Head
area, while Stephanie Loudner has been appointed assistant vice president and
branch manager and Sherese Bailey, loan assistant. Other customer service and
teller positions will be filled shortly.
Paul Walter has eight years of banking experience in the Hilton
Head/Bluffton area with 10 years overall banking experience in management and
lending to consumer and small business clients. He was previously with Bank
of America in Hilton Head and Bluffton. Walter graduated from Wofford College
with a B.A. degree in business economics in 1992.
Stephanie Loudner continued her banking career in the Hilton Head area two
years ago after relocating from Dayton, Ohio. She has served in management
and focused on consumer lending, including home mortgages. Loudner is a
graduate of Wright State University (Dayton, Ohio) with a B.A. degree in
Sherese Bailey was most recently with Carolina First. Her service with
local banks has included roles as teller, sales support associate, and
consumer and commercial loan assistant. She has lived in the Beaufort County
area for 24 years. Bailey is a graduate of South Carolina State University
with a B.A. degree in business.
