Behringer Harvard's entry was one of more than 1,500 received from 40 countries in 96 industry categories. Each website competed head-to-head with others in the same category; the site judged with the highest score was named the best in its industry. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
