TACOMA, Wash., Dec. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bekins Northwest announced they have negotiated a purchase of the old Hostess Factory at 8500 Durango in Tacoma. The site will serve as the new corporate headquarters and main distribution warehouse. The new location will better serve the needs of Bekins Northwest's customers statewide, especially those in Pierce County and the surrounding areas.
The strategic acquisition marks the 10th location in Washington state. With roughly 150,000 sq. ft of warehouse space, Bekins Northwest is now better equipped to meet even the most demanding needs for scalability. The facility plans to be operational by December 10th, 2016.
"This calculated expansion delivers on the commitment by ownership, to service all areas of Washington state. It will also be instrumental in the development of distribution and asset management capabilities," says Rob Schmidt (Vice President / Sales and Marketing).
