Version 5.0 enables Hirschmann RSR and MACH100 switch customers to connect multiple rings to a primary ring, permitting a higher availability of networks by forming so-called 'sub-rings.'

In addition, Hirschmann Version 5.0 software accelerates boot-up times, it optimizes the HIPER-Ring and RSTP protocols, and it allows various protocols to be combined.
