MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Belinda Jensen, KARE-TV meteorologist, has signed a multi-year agreement to stay at KARE. Jensen, KARE's weekend meteorologist, fills several other roles: co-host of KARE 11 News Saturday, feature reporter on Minnesota Bound and co-host of Grow with KARE, a gardening series. "Belinda does so many things and she does all of them well," said John Remes, KARE President and General Manager. "Our commitment is to quality and Belinda will help us keep that commitment for years to come," he added. Jensen was no less enthusiastic. "I feel like KARE is home. The things that are important to me are important at KARE," said Jensen. "Things like doing the weather in a calm and straightforward manner. Community involvement and working with schools. I get to meet great people and stretch myself on the Saturday morning show. And I get to tell great stories on Minnesota Bound and get my hands dirty on Grow with KARE." Jensen has an AMS Seal of Approval for broadcast meteorology. Before coming to KARE in 1993 she worked for the National Weather Service and an ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City.
