Mr. Walker began his career at American Hospital Supply Corporation, where
he ultimately served as president of The Hospital Company, a $1.5 billion
distributor of medical, surgical and other hospital supplies. Subsequently he
was Chairman and CEO of Vitaphore Corporation, a biomaterials company,
acquired by Union Carbide Chemical and Plastics.
