BMO Capital Markets Continues Expansion of Media, Communications and Technology Team with Hiring of Managing Director

    NEW YORK, April 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - BMO Capital Markets, the

 BMO), announced today that it has hired Scott R. Singer as a Managing
 Director in its Media, Communications and Technology Group. Singer will be
 based in New York and will focus on clients in the broadcasting, cable and
 digital media industries.

     Singer has 18 years of media and communications industry experience.
 Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, he was a Partner at Deloitte and
 leader of its U.S. Media & Entertainment practice, with a focus on
 corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. Singer
 has also worked at Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns, where he was head of the
 cable, interactive entertainment and digital media practices in the Media &
 Entertainment Group. He has advised on more than $35 billion of M&A
 transactions and has raised more than $75 billion of capital for his
 clients.
     Singer received his MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern
 School of Business and his BSBA in Management from Bucknell University. He
 is currently a member of The Museum of Television & Radio's Board of
 Governors in Los Angeles.
