Executives Explain How Realization's Execution Management System is Helping MRO, Engineer-to-Order, and Other Industries Finish More Projects in Less Time

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- At Project Flow 2009 in San Francisco, executives from large organizations explained to over 200 attendees how Realization Technologies' project execution management solutions enabled them to dramatically increase the annual number of projects they are able to complete without adding additional resources. Videos of these presentations - which include organizations such as Boeing Space & Intelligence Systems, Corpus Christi Army Depot (U.S. Army) and Tinker Air Force Base (U.S. Air Force) - are now available for viewing on the Realization Technologies customer success video website at http://videos.realization.com/realweb/.

Below are examples of success stories on videos that may be found at http://videos.realization.com/realweb/default.aspx?PlayList=57S52S53S54S55S56S.

  • Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul): Representatives from the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), Tinker Air Force Base, Army Fleet Support and Fleet Readiness Center Southeast discuss how they aid the war effort by refurbishing more planes and helicopters faster, enabling the U.S. armed forces to have more aircraft available for their missions. For instance, using the same workforce, CCAD has increased the maintenance and repair throughput of Apache, Pavehawk, Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters by more than 20 percent. By getting helicopters out of maintenance faster and having more helicopters available for training, Army Fleet Support has saved the Department of Defense over $162 million.
  • Aerospace: Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems presents progress on its implementation of Realization's project execution management solution for the entire business unit, which has already reduced cycle times on unit and subsystem projects by 17 to 26 percent. Management made the decision to expand its use of Realization following an extremely successful point implementation that doubled throughput for antennae.
  • Engineering-to-Order: Alcan Alesa Technologies of Switzerland and Canada shows how it has used execution management to increase engineering productivity by 30 percent. As a result of Spanish engineering company ABB Cordoba's reduction of lead times and increase in throughput, ABB is planning to implement execution management at all of its plants around the world.
  • Process Manufacturing: Votorantim of Brazil describes how the organization utilized execution management on a single plant shutdown project in their Forteza de Minas division. The company completed the process within the targeted 30-day time frame and at 96 percent of budget without any major accidents. More than 70 contractors and 780 people were involved.
  • Logistics and Supply: Realization shares how they helped the Defense Supply Center Richmond, the Defense Logistics Agency's procurement center and supply chain manager, achieve a 40 percent reduction in days late, a 76 percent reduction in procurement cycle time and a 29 percent increase in procurement awards.
