Weekend's Lineup Will Feature Performance by Vince Neil, The Gin Blossoms and

the Greatest Brat Eating Contest in the World

    JOHNSONVILLE, Wis., June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnsonville Sausage, the
 sponsor of the nation's most original celebration of the bratwurst:
 Johnsonville Brat Days, August 5-7, 2004, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, announced
 the Festival's national entertainment line-up today.  Along with an
 imaginative assortment of bratwurst dishes, such as brat tacos, brat egg rolls
 and brat pizzas, Brat Days will feature an eclectic blend of music including
 The Gin Blossoms on Friday, August 6, and Vince Neil of Motley Crue on
 Saturday, August 7.  Adding to the musical entertainment, professional chefs,
 authors and renown media personalities the Clever Cleaver Brothers, Lee
 Gerovitz and Steve Cassarino, will perform and appear during the Brat Days
 Parade Saturday, August 7.

     The entire family can also enjoy a wide range of activities on Saturday,
 August 7 including a performance by the Radio Disney Street Squad, a
 rock-climbing display by the U.S. Army, face painting, clowns and balloonists,
 in addition to the John Michael Kohler Arts Center that will be on site. Pony
 rides, three inflatable bouncy castles and a remote control racetrack will
 also be available throughout the three days.
     This year, Johnsonville Brat Days will take place the weekend before the
 PGA Championship, which will be held at Sheboygan's Whistling Straits Golf
 Course.  The three-day event will also feature traditional and exotic brat
 creations, beer gardens, polka bands, a Brat Eating Contest and fun
 entertainment for the family.
     "Brat Days epitomizes who we are in Sheboygan and what we enjoy as a
 community," says Michele Konrad, Brat Days Chairperson. "It is exciting to
 bring together such great acts, and inviting everyone in the region and
 country to share in our culture."
     In addition, Brat Day festival attendees will have the chance to see the
 world's greatest brat eating contest and compete against some of Sheboygan's
 finest eaters for a chance to win the top prize of $2,000.  Johnsonville's
 massive Big Taste Grill, a converted semi truck sporting the world's largest
 grill weighing in at 53,000 pounds and 65 feet long will also be there to cook
 an amazing 2,500 brats an hour.
     For avid brat fans, Johnsonville is also sponsoring its annual "Win a Trip
 to Brat Days" nationwide contest to find the country's most enthusiastic
 bratwurst sausage lover.  The winner will not only win an expense-paid trip to
 the festival, but also will be named Honorary Grand Marshall of the Brat Days
 Parade.
     Contestants must be over 21 and provide Johnsonville with a brief essay,
 video, photo album, audiotape or CD creatively explaining why he or she should
 be named Honorary Grand Marshall of Johnsonville Brat Days by Friday
 July 16, 2004.  The winner selected, along with a guest, will receive
 round-trip coach travel from any location in the continental U.S. on a
 commercial airline, hotel accommodation, ground transportation and meals while
 in Wisconsin.
     The first Brat Days festival was held in 1953 and has since provided brat
 lovers from all over the country with a one-of-a-kind brat experience. Brat
 Days is also the largest fundraiser for the Sheboygan Jaycees, having raised
 more than $150,000 over the last 10 years.  Proceeds from the festival are
 returned to the community through organizations such as the Sheboygan
 Recreation Department, Above and Beyond Children's Museum, Big Brothers/Big
 Sisters, the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.
