Brian Altounian Joins Platinum Studios as Chief Operating Officer

Former Time Warner Interactive Executive Brings Both a Proven Operations Track

    LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Platinum Studios, an entertainment
 company that controls the world's largest independent library of comic book
 characters, announced the appointment of Brian Altounian as chief operating
 officer.  Altounian brings more than 17-years of experience in the
 entertainment and high-tech industry, having overseen operations of the West
 Coast offices of National Geographic Television and Time Warner Interactive.
     "Brian's fiscal acumen and ability to manage operations will be a
 tremendous asset for Platinum Studios," said Scott Mitchell Rosenberg,

 Comics, increasing Platinum's library to more than 2,500 characters, Altounian
 will be responsible for managing fiscal growth and staffing.  His experience
 in the online and interactive space compliments many of the growth directions
 for the company.

 industries, including Cereplast, Inc., Imaging3, Inc., and XSUNX, Inc.
