CA Executive to Discuss Cloud Computing's Role in Data Protection at Storage Expo

Don Kleinschnitz to Address How IT Can Rationalize Traditional Backup and Recovery with Cloud Technologies

ISLANDIA, N.Y., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CA (Nasdaq: CA) today announced that Don Kleinschnitz, senior vice president, software engineering for CA's Recovery Management business unit, will be presenting on where cloud-based data protection fits in customers' storage strategies at the Storage Expo in London on October 14 and 15.

Don will discuss how the characteristics of the Web and its access are changing-- making cloud storage a new possibility for meeting data protection needs in "Cloud Computing & Storage: Revolution, Evolution or Fad?" In addition, he will talk about emerging cloud storage technologies, providing a perspective on where they fit with traditional data protection technologies in "A Practical View of Cloud Storage."

Don will also be part of a keynote panel of industry experts discussing "Future Directions: What is On the Horizon That Will Shape Storage Strategies Tomorrow?" IDC's Carla Arend will facilitate a discussion about current technologies and industry trends and what is on the horizon--including when SaaS and cloud computing are appropriate for a business.
