Calgary-based Intermap Increasing U.S. Profile

    CALGARY, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Calgary-based Intermap
 Technologies Corporation, (TSX:IMP) reported an increased focus on U.S.
 investor activities to support its NEXTMap-USA project, which includes the
 creation of a national U.S. terrain elevation and imagery database accurate to
 one meter or better. The Company anticipates a significant increase in the
 amount of U.S.-based business as a result of NEXTMap-USA.
     "The U.S. investment community appears to be very receptive to what is
 happening in the GIS (geographic information systems) space," stated Brian

 focused U.S. investor strategy is warranted to raise awareness and communicate

     Intermap has retained Genesis Select Corporation to initiate a
 comprehensive institutional investor relations program. Based in Boulder,
 Colorado, Genesis Select will work closely with Intermap management to
 communicate the Company's investment story to U.S.-based portfolio managers,
 buy-side and sell-side analysts and the U.S. investment community at large.
     Intermap is digitally remapping entire countries, building unprecedented
 national databases, called NEXTMap, of highly accurate digital topographic
 maps (including elevation). Customers purchase Intermap's high-quality,
 low-cost data to facilitate better decision-making for numerous commercial,
 governmental, military, and consumer applications.
     Demand for NEXTMap data is growing as new commercial applications are
 emerging, including geographical information systems (GIS), engineering
 planning, transportation, automotive, navigation, flood, irrigation,
 environmental management and planning, telecommunications network planning,
 aviation, simulation, and 3D visualization. Internet applications include
 virtual tours, topographic maps, and computer games. The products are also
 used to add interactive intelligence to airborne and satellite images.
