Technology Companies to Be Recognized for their Mobile and Wireless Health Innovation, Insight, and Initiative

 

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today, Wireless Life Sciences Alliance (WLSA) and Triple Tree announced the 4th Annual TripleTree iAwards for Wireless Health "call for nominations" to all companies with innovative, impactful mobile and wireless solutions in the healthcare industry.

Online applications for the 2012 iAwards will be accepted through March 30, 2012.  Each application will be closely reviewed and scored by a distinguished panel of judges, including representatives from Triple Tree, WLSA and Cooley LLP.  Twelve finalists, four in three different categories, will be announced on April 23, 2012.

Each of the twelve 2012 iAwards finalists will be featured at the 7th Annual WLSA Wireless Health Convergence Summit, on May 22-24, 2012, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California, where the winners of each category will be announced on May 24th.  A dinner reception, sponsored by TripleTree and Cooley LLP, will be held for all finalists on May 23rd.  The CEOs, founders, and other key stakeholders of all finalists are strongly encouraged to attend.  Each year, the Wireless Health Convergence Summit attracts leading executives, innovators, thought leaders, and investors from across the globe.

TripleTree founded the iAwards to recognize innovation, insight and initiative in the healthcare industry.  Applications are judged based upon uniqueness of the business model, growth and traction in the marketplace, clinical/operational/consumer relevance, size of addressable market, international presence or potential, and other fundamentals.

The three categories for the 2012 iAwards are:

1. Operational Effectiveness – Best solution for reducing costs and improving operational efficiency
2. Clinical Application – Best solution that enriches clinical care delivery
3. Consumer Experience – Best solution to enrich the consumer or patient experience

Solutions will be judged based upon measurable achievements including:

• Improved patient compliance and accountability
• Improved access and distribution of patient health information
• Improved decision-making for providers and/or care managers
• Increased patient and/or caregiver education
• User-friendly with high adoption rates across diverse populations
• Improved patient-provider communications and care management
• Improved chronic disease and illness management
• Improved health condition monitoring and diagnostic capabilities
• Improved data management and analysis
• Improved health outcomes and care quality
