AUSTIN, Texas, May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Campus Advantage, a higher education services company, today announced the promotion of three staff members to senior leadership positions within the Austin-based company.

Jennifer Cassidy was recently promoted from a position as Campus Advantage's Florida regional manager to Vice President of Management Services. Cassidy started with the company in 2006 as general manager at The Edge at 42nd in Tampa, Fla. In 2008, she was promoted to area manager, overseeing the Campus Advantage properties of Campus Lodge in Tampa and Cabana Beach Gainesville.  In 2009, Cassidy was promoted to regional manager of Florida.  In addition to overseeing high-performing properties in challenging markets, she has been recognized for taking an active leadership role with the corporate staff and has been involved in a number of new and inventive initiatives.

Katy Warren-Smerko, has been promoted to National Director of Leasing and Marketing. She joined the Campus Advantage team more than three years ago as a regional manager for initial operations before transitioning to a regional manager for leasing and marketing.  In her current position, she plays an integral role in the leasing and marketing department, providing support to a significant number of the Campus Advantage properties.  Warren-Smerko also helps lead the Campus Advantage award-winning social media program.

Brenda Glisan joined the company in 2006 as a property accountant. She has been promoted to Accounts Payable and Treasury Manager. For nearly three years, she has been responsible for Accounts Payable and Treasury. In this role, she was instrumental in designing and implementing a new accounts payable process that resulted in a 25 percent increase in efficiency and substantially improved timeliness. At the same time, the management of all bank relationships was centralized under her. 

"Since assuming responsibility for A/P and Treasury, Brenda led the effort to centralize our banking relationships with Comerica, implemented check scanners at the properties, a property debit card program and a corporate American Express Program," Peter said.
