With 10 surgeries, chemotherapy behind her, Libby set forth with an aggressive plan to get her life back on track by introducing exercise, her version of clean eating, setting and achieving small and large goals along the way.  The depth and true despair that came with witnessing her mother, whom lived with her in Leesburg, lose her battle to lung and breast cancer while Libby battled ovarian cancer herself shone a different a light on the importance of fighting for her own life.

When asked what inspires her, Libby commented, "I want to help others know anything is possible. The funny part is that in all of "this" I have never felt "why me?"  I have been laser focused on moving forward and trying to be healthiest me I could be for my son.  I emulate so many people out there and that's why it is important to share what I have learned during this uphill battle.  Sure, I am a problem solver – set goals, have an attack plan, execute and adjust where/when necessary, but the fact is it is not always easy."

This government marketing consultant has reinvented herself at 45. Today, she is down nearly 70lbs, she has a budding modeling career.  Libby recently took the catwalk and represented, up and coming fashion designer, Terry Tocci  at the 5th Annual RAWards in Washington, DC on December 2nd.  She is a top 10 NPC bodybuilding competitor and is working toward her personal trainer certification.

Luckily, for Libby with her lifestyle changes the outcome of her dealings with cancer has lead to a full remission, but she still believes Cancer is not patient and Cancer is not kind so she remains focused on good health and spreading the word. According to Libby, "I've been fighting ovarian cancer since 2004 and am predisposed genetically to high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. I have witnessed the early deaths in my family from massive heart attacks and cancer at early ages.  When I was 16 years old, I lost my own father due to side effects of diabetes -- he was 55 and then my mother days before my 40th birthday -- she was a young 61. I had to make a change for myself and to be around for my young SON. This is not optional this is about LONGEVITY. "
