Capital BlueCross celebrates 75 years of improving the health of the community
HARRISBURG, Pa., March 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Capital BlueCross celebrates 75 years of providing health security to residents and businesses throughout central Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley.

Originally named Capital Hospital Service, the company began operations with only a few employees. Through the years, Capital BlueCross has evolved into an innovative health plan and committed community partner with more than 1,800 employees at offices in Harrisburg, Pa. and Allentown, Pa., and at Capital Blue, its new health insurance and wellness store in Center Valley, Pa.
