Careington International Corporation (Careington) announced today that it has entered into an Agreement with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Inc. (MetLife) to offer a no-cost discount prescription card through MetLife's U.S. Sponsored Direct business channel.
FRISCO, Texas, July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Careington International Corporation (Careington) announced today that it has entered into an Agreement with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Inc. (MetLife) to offer a no-cost discount prescription card through MetLife's U.S. Sponsored Direct business channel.
MetLife's U.S. Sponsored Direct business is a sales channel that partners with sponsors to offer their customers or members simple, affordable products that meet the needs of the U.S. mass market. Sponsored groups MetLife does business with include associations, financial institutions, trade unions, loyalty clubs and publishers.
Discount prescription cards, such as this one offered by MetLife at no cost, allow program members and their families to pay a discounted fee at the point of service for both name-brand and generic prescriptions at widely recognized participating pharmacy locations nationwide, including independent and local neighborhood pharmacies. MetLife sponsor clients simply must agree to offer the no-cost prescription discount card, and Careington will then distribute the cards to all participating client members.
