EMERYVILLE, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Cartridge World, the largest
retailer of cartridge refilling services in the world, reinforces its
commitment to environmental awareness by celebrating America Recycles Day 2004
on November 15, a national day dedicated to better inform consumers about the
advantages of recycling at home and buying recycled products.
Cartridge World North America provides consumers and businesses with an
alternative option to buying new, brand-name ink-jet and toner cartridges in
efforts to protect the environment. This proactive solution to waste reduction
is a win-win situation for consumers, entrepreneurs and the environment.
"Today, more than 350 million ink cartridges are discarded in landfills
each year," said Burt Yarkin, president of Cartridge World North America.
"With Cartridge World's continued commitment to refilling printer cartridges,
it's only a matter of time until refilling cartridges is as common as
separating waste material in our homes for the recycle bins."
Different from the efforts of big name brand manufacturers, Cartridge
World addresses environmental issues by showcasing its ability to refill
inkjet cartridges an average of three to eight times and remanufacture laser
 cartridges infinitely, without sacrificing quality.
Cartridge World has also established a recycling fundraiser program with
public and private schools across the nation. The recycling program invites
both students and teachers from local schools to drop off their empty ink
cartridges, and Cartridge World will offer to buy back those cartridges to
ensure each one is recycled properly.
In addition to recycling efforts, Cartridge World offers consumers and
businesses up to 50 percent savings on ink and toner cartridges with a 100
 percent money-back guarantee.
     America Recycles Day is a national all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization. The goal of the annual campaign is to encourage Americans to
recycle and buy recycled products. For more information, visit .
