Catapult Technology Expands Program Management Support Line of Business with Two New Contracts

Projects with EPA and NSF are Valued at $5.1 Million

BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Catapult Technology, Ltd. (Catapult), a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal government and private sector, has expanded its Program Management Support line of business with the addition of new projects at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Total value of the two projects is $5.1 million.

"Our Program Management line of business ensures that our government clients meet their core goal: providing quality service for taxpayer dollars," said Randy J. Slager, founder and CEO of Catapult Technology.

Catapult has expanded its footprint in the federal government space with the EPA and NSF contracts, as they're both new agencies on Catapult's client roster. Catapult's growing Program Management line of business has demonstrated that the company's approach is successful and is sought after by the government.

Catapult's new projects include:

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Grants and Debarment (OGD). This $1.6 million contract is to transition OGD to a new, government-wide grants management system: the Grants Management Line of Business (GMLOB), a multi-agency initiative sponsored by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). EPA and OMB expect the GMLOB will:

  • Increase service to citizens through standardized processes;
  • Provide cost savings for grant-making agencies through the use of shared IT infrastructure;
  • Reduce the number of redundant grants management systems;
  • Improve reporting on government-wide grant activities and results.

Catapult will provide project management and technical expertise to EPA during the analysis, definition, development, implementation, testing, and training phases of the project, including activities related to planning, reviewing, reporting, monitoring and evaluating the cost, schedule, and performance of the GMLOB Initiative. In addition, Catapult will coordinate the activities of other vendors involved.

"This is a major IT implementation project that will streamline EPA's grants management process, lower training and development costs, and help control costs and schedules," Slager said. "It's exactly the type of project at which Catapult excels."

National Science Foundation (NSF), Division of Information Services (DIS). Under this three-year, $3.5 million contract, Catapult will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services and Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) services to DIS' Program Management Office (PMO) staff to help them make strategic decisions about IT investments and planning.

"The NSF project underscores one of Catapult's key strengths, which is the marriage of technology and strategy," Slager said.
