Centerplate expecting to serve 50,000 at Orange County Convention Center

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the nation's largest hospitality partner to North America's premier convention centers, sports stadiums and entertainment venues, will welcome over 50,000 attendees for the 2012 International Builder's Show at the Orange County Convention Center. The huge show features exhibits covering almost 1 million square feet of exhibit space and several full-scale homes erected adjacent to the center.

For the nation's premier home show, Centerplate turned to its award-winning chefs to construct a menu of home-cooking from cultures around the world. To serve this wide variety of flavorful meals without sacrificing service speed, Centerplate has added a number of supplementary points-of-service. Some of Centerplate's chef-crafted dishes created for the show include:  

• Souvlaki: skewer of marinated charbroiled boneless chicken, stacked on warm pita bread, topped off with lettuce, banana peppers, & tzatziki sauce
• Orecchiette Pasta: fresh saffron orecchiette pasta with marinated shrimp and roasted peppers topped off with a creamy basil sauce
• Chocolate Decadent Crepe: Brownie Chunks mixed with Nutella and topped with Whip Cream

In addition to its quick service offerings, Centerplate will also be catering over 450 private events throughout the show. Items served at the events will include:

• Chicken Supreme Roulade - with Creamy Creole Mustard Aioli Dipping Sauce
• Florida Rock Shrimp - with Pickled Spicy Asian Slaw
• Blue Crab Cake - with Citrus Herb Remoulade
• Roasted Domestic Colorado lamb racks - covered in a fresh thyme, rosemary, garlic, Dijon mustard, Pecorino Romano cheese, olive oil, fresh bread crumbs, and parsley
