"We're proud to support our educational leaders and students with free tools and resources that can help our children learn about the safety and benefits of natural gas," said Jean Krause, director of Corporate Community Relations. "As committed advocates for issues related to student education, we support administrators, teachers and parents and are pleased to be able to utilize technology to provide science-based online lessons and curriculum materials."
The new natural gas safety education program for K-12 features age-appropriate resources. Students will learn valuable natural gas safety information, such as how to detect a gas leak, have the opportunity to write their own TV commercial and conduct experiments like making fossils or creating earthquakes. The site also contains lesson plans, resources and educational links for teachers, as well as games and activities for students.
