Cesar Millan was not always the leader of the pack. Cesar Millan: The Real Story follows his incredible rise from impoverished illegal immigrant to celebrity dog trainer to international superstar. The cameras roll as Millan embarks on his latest Cesar LIVE world speaking seminar, begins filming his new Nat Geo WILD television series Leader of the Pack in Spain, and leads thousands of dogs and owners on a Pack Walk in Washington, D.C., to raise awareness about dog adoption.
Along the way, Millan reflects on his humble beginnings in Mexico, his illegal entry into the United States and his struggle to make a new life for himself. He recounts how his incredible skill with dogs led to his rise to fame as the Dog Whisperer, the impact his hectic travel schedule had on his family life, and how he was able to find new love and personal balance. Viewers will also follow Millan around the world as he inspires people to become pack leaders in their own lives.
"My life and career have made for a remarkable journey," says Millan. "It is very rewarding to look back at where I began and to see how far I have been able to come. I feel like this is only the beginning!"
"Cesar has been an integral part of the National Geographic family for many years now," says Geoff Daniels, executive vice president and general manger of Nat Geo WILD. "We are incredibly excited to bring to television for the first time Cesar's remarkable story with a comprehensive look back at his life, his phenomenal contributions and accomplishments."
