Chancellor University Hires CEO
CLEVELAND, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Chancellor University President George Kidd announced today that education industry veteran Robert H. "Bob" Barker, Jr., has joined the university as chief executive officer.
"There is no one better qualified to lead our growth than Bob Barker," said Kidd. "We've spent the past 18 months working hard to strengthen the academic structure at Chancellor -- the foundation is strong and everything is in place to begin growing our student enrollment."
Barker is known as an innovative educational entrepreneur having founded EDU Interactive and Barker Educational Services, companies that partner with accredited colleges and universities to increase enrollment through marketing, lead generation and retention services. As executive vice president at the University of Phoenix, Barker grew enrollment across the U.S. He also provided leadership in several key markets and advanced innovations such as the hybrid online/campus program.
"My vision for the future of the university, and the new Jack Welch Management Institute MBA program at Chancellor, is to grow enrollment, expand the reach of our quality academic programs, and provide the opportunity for our students to succeed all across the U.S. and the globe," said Barker.
Jack Welch, who joined forces with Chancellor to launch the university's new MBA program, said, "Bob knows education in his bones, both online and on campus, and he's also been the CEO of his own company. That's a powerful combination. I know he's got the right experience to lead and grow our programs in exciting ways."
Certificate, associate, bachelor and graduate degree programs are offered online and at Chancellor University's Cleveland campus. For more information about Chancellor University or the Jack Welch Management Institute visit www.ChancellorU.edu.
