Cheniere Announces Public Offering of Common Stock
HOUSTON, March 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cheniere Energy, Inc. ("Cheniere") (NYSE Amex: LNG) announced today that it has agreed to sell 17,000,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering under an effective shelf registration statement. The underwriter will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an aggregate of 2,550,000 additional shares of common stock from Cheniere to cover any over-allotments. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including repayment of indebtedness. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC is serving as the underwriter in the offering.
