Chester Fried Announces New Name and Franchising Opportunities

Chester's International Name Debuts in Conjunction With Franchise Announcement

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Chester Fried, a leading
developer of quick service restaurant (QSR) concepts with a proven 50-year
history in the food service arena, today announced the company is changing its
name to Chester's International, LLC, and they have shifted their U.S.
business model to a franchise program.
"Chicken consumption is on the rise and our new logo and franchise program
will help ensure brand consistency to all of our customers around the world,"
stated Ted Giles, president and CEO of Chester's International, LLC. "We are
excited to offer this program to those looking for an outstanding QSR
opportunity with a highly successful company."
Poultry meat consumption has been increasing steadily since the mid 1970s.
In addition, sales at QSRs are projected to reach $123.9 billion in 2004, an
increase of 3.9 percent over 2003, according to the National Restaurant
 Association.
Chester's offers potential franchisees a great opportunity to enter the
QSR chicken business with two great concepts -- in-line and restaurant in-
store (grocery, travel plaza and convenience stores) locations. They
differentiate themselves from other QSRs by offering a variety of flexible
store layouts at a lower cost for total start-up, flexible menu options and
stores can open within 120 days of signing. Franchisees also will benefit
from Chester's University, where employees participate in a hands-on, five-day
training program in a high-tech classroom and in-store settings, in addition
to onsite training and grand opening support. The franchise program also
offers turn-key supply, marketing support and on-going operations support.
The company uses the same secret breading recipe that has made them the
popular choice for high-quality chicken cooked to perfection for more than 30
years. Chester's uses only real chicken that is specially marinated and
offers double-breaded bone-in, tenders and potato wedges, as well as
 sandwiches, wraps, salads and breakfast.
Franchise and site applications are available
